The animated short INSIDE by Mattias Dovier shows a man who begins to feel unlike himself, slowly infiltrated by a mechanical metamorphosis.

Commissioned in Channel 4’s Random Acts in collaboration with It’s Nice That, the short is illustrated in a striking dithered monochrome pixel art style.

Mattias says of the technique:

For those who are wondering, the animations are hand drawn in low res, and I draw the shadows with different pixels grids (bitmap grey levels) using photoshop.
